Bucca joined the family by accident.  I took Orion and Quick-Quick to the vet for their annual shots, and met a woman who had a very tiny kitten.  She had found a mother cat with her litter, out in the woods.  She found homes for the rest of the family, and was going to keep one kitten, but her dog kept trying to attack the baby.  One thing led to another, and I ended up going home with three animals instead of two.  We named her after a Welch word meaning gremlin - she had a very tiny face, with big ears and eyes, and hair sticking up all over.  She was only six weeks old, covered with fleas, and very sick.  I nursed her back to health, and she now rules the house - even Darwin and Quick-Quick let her boss them around!  Years later, she's still 'the kitten.'
