Finally back to do some updates... I'm between semesters at school, so I seem to have some time on my hands.
We got a new dog... we've had a bad couple of years, so we're now down to two dogs and two cats. We got Hubble because Ziggy desperately needed someone to play with. Well, Hubble wears him out! According tot he animal shelter, he's about 6 years old, but he acts like a puppy. He does everything with gusto - especially playing with his toys. He's gotten a little better, but for a while, every time I went into the living room, I found shreds of stuffing, mangled toy carcasses, and dead squeakers. He was listed as a bichon/poodle; he has a face like a bichon, but a docked tail and tiny feet of a poodle.

Here are the last two projects...This is based on the triple spiral instructions posted in the Beadchat group. I used size 6 beads for the core and siize 8 beads for the spirals. This makes a very flexible yet chunky bracelet. I think I need to make a matching necklace...

This is the latest attempt to get away from my blues and purples... I think I should just give up on it. I always hate the result. Oh well... another present for someone! This is from a kit from Glass Garden Beads, a herringbone variation.

Tis is another design by Glenda Payseno, kit from Ready to Bead, called Picot Leaf Necklace. My favorite color, purple!
This is one of my favorite projects of all that I've done. The basic design was from Beadwork magazine, Aug/Sep 2006, page 52, called Banded Tapestry Cuff. I was determined to do the project just with items i had on hand, so mine doesn't look much like the picture in the magazine. I didn't have any bicones, so I used some Swarovski cubes, and I ran out of cubes short of what I needed, so there's a couple of oddball beads at the end.

This is from Bead & Button, Aug. 2006, page 79, "Explore Color Variations in Ladder Stitch." It worked up very quickly, and I like the result.

This was a kit from my local bead store, Crystal Creations, called DNA Twist. I didn't realize it until I had completed the project, but this was my first spiral.
This is another kit from Ready to Bead, designed by Glenda Payseno, called Grey Pearl Net.

These are my two bracelets for the Rainbow Swap. The top uses the wavy flag pattern by Dixie Ackerman. The bottom is my very first design on Bead Creator Pro (bead design software). I love it so much, I almost didn't send it in... I'll have to make another one for myself.

Finally, here are my beads for the Beaded Bead Swap. I had all these beautiful rainbow beads, so that inspired these designs.

I'm so far behind in posting... I'll just add them in the order I finished them, with a little description. Here are my May projects.First, a kit that was another attempt to get away from my favorite blues and purples...it turns out I hated the colors and gave it to my mother-in-law.

This is a beautiful kit from Ready to Bead, designed by Sandra Halpenny. It's called Amethyst Crystal.

This is another amulet from Lisa Ring, called Peacock Amulet.
